Kim + Doug

My husband and I are residents in a small Midwestern town in Kansas. We planned our July 2010 wedding to take place in a renovated Fox theater, circa 1950’s. It is a gorgeous structure with many details that are at once elegant and artistic – breath-taking chandeliers, intricate carved archways, winding staircases, rich, red velvet seats, etc. The lighting in this building is also very complicated since there are so many spaces and the ceilings, of course, are quite high. We knew it would take someone with an artistic flair and sophisticated approach to be able to photograph our event successfully. In the photographs that she took for the wedding, Chris managed to capture the unique qualities of our surroundings without sacrificing the important bonds between all of our friends and family. You can see those connections in our expressions and movements. This was due to the fact that Chris knew exactly how to direct us. We wanted a visual keepsake that would remind us of all the special moments of that day without making it look like every other wedding service we’ve ever attended. We couldn’t have been more impressed by the finished product. She really did an extraordinary job and overcame every challenge with professionalism and ease.
