About me

My photography evolved from my passion for world travel. My dad was in the Army, so our family was always on the move and I fell in love with exploring new places with a camera in tow. I was born in Monterey, California, traveling the United States and Europe. While pursuing my history degree at the University of Texas at Austin, I spent three months traveling the world on Semester at Sea, where I gained an even greater appreciation for seeing the world through a camera lens. In the years since, my photography has taken me around the globe, including Southeast Asia, South America, Cuba, and the Middle East.
I have worked for Sunset and Sierra magazines and have contributed to Asian Week and Bride & Bloom. I’m a member of the San Francisco Bay Area Photographers Association and am certified by Here Comes the Guide, a Bay Area wedding photography resource.
I combine the candid intimate nature of documentary photography with the color and simplicity of classical portraiture. I have photographed weddings throughout the United States, as well as in Mexico, Canada, and India, and welcome travel assignments.
